Deep Blue Sea

Postby Thunder » Sun Jul 18, 2010 12:29 am

This is a 5.5 bought from Juggalette. She bought it as a setup kit from Walmart for $30. I bought it for $15. The filter included, I exchanged at Walmart (sneaky me) for a brand new one. I already had the same-size box that I bought a filter for another 5.5.

Image

^^^ You can see that I had to do some cleaning.

Image

^^^ I am using the light blue stones. I am using some of the darker stones inside a pot.

Image

^^^ Daylight bulb, I think is better than what Walmart sells.

Image

^^^ The gravel substrate at PETCO seem to be more deeper black and shiny than the dull kind at Walmart.

Image

^^^ Just a pre-setup. I wish the color of those blue stones would just show, but my phone sucks for tank pictures.

Image

^^^ Later, I went to get the two plants at PetSmart.

Image

^^^ Obviously needed to be raised up higher.

Image

^^^ This one does not come packaged itself. I had to get the set of 3 to get this one.

Image

^^^ Raised and now have a bit more movement.

Bought the background, air pump, and air stone at PetSmart. I was going to get a small heater but it was costing $21, so I decided to use a mini heater that I got thru an auction.

I am not sure if these Guppies will survive or not. I am not worried about their survival. What I am wanting to do is get some higher-end quality Guppies to breed and sell. These Guppies that I have is there to ensure the building bacteria colony. BioMax from the 100 was added to this filter.

I also got a free Ghost Shrimp in there right now. The lady did not see it when she scooped up the Otos that I had to get more for the 100.

Another video.

Still waiting on the 2 girls to give birth. They look really pregnant, cuz I see black spots on one and the other seem to be red.
