I hooked up the 2000 gph pump yesterday. I have most of the marginal plants stuffed in the waterfall. so there's no room for my filter there. I'm mulling over making a filter box that the pump would sit in as I would like some mechanical filtering happening. I think there are enough plants that I don't have to worry about getting biomedia happening with 5 little goldies in 200+ gallons of water.

I've seen a little snake twice outside the pond. he's about a foot long.
and the frogs are still very happy.

Your snake is probably fishing too. LOL I have two comets that just appeared. Now I have to keep the little black pond up for the summer until I can find homes for them. I swear, goldies just appear by magic. Worse than rabbits. I just did the four ponds yesterday. What a chore.

I just found a baby in the 55 with the plant filter. The watonai were in there. Looks like he's a single tail tho. looks like a shubie.

I'm one down in the pond. one apparently kamakazied. or got splashed out by the dog jumping in.

Did you guys get much rain today?

We got about 5 inches I think. Same deal here. I've lost all but one of my fish in the unfiltered pond. I find them on the outside of the pond. I think they were spawning and just got too wild. The water level was too high in there. I sold almost all of my water lettuce. Happy about that. The koi spawned but I'm glad they ate all of the eggs. I don't need anymore outside fish. Sorry about your loss. Good for you..a new shubbie.
